Terms of Use

Last updated: 5 September 2026

1. Acceptance

This website is operated by PM Law Incorporated, an incorporated firm of attorneys practising in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. By accessing or using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the site.

2. The information here is not legal advice

Everything on this website is provided for general information only. It is not legal advice and must not be relied on as a substitute for advice on your own circumstances. The law changes, and how it applies depends on the facts of each matter. You should obtain advice from a legal practitioner before acting, or refraining from acting, on anything you read here.

3. No attorney–client relationship

Sending an enquiry through this website, or contacting us by email, telephone or WhatsApp, does not create an attorney–client relationship between you and PM Law. We act for you only once we have accepted your instruction in writing and any conflict and FICA checks have been completed.

Please do not send us confidential or time-sensitive information before we have confirmed that we are able to act. Until we do, information you send may not be protected by legal professional privilege, and we cannot undertake to have read it.

4. Time limits

Claims are subject to prescription and to statutory time limits, and a Road Accident Fund claim in particular must be lodged within the periods set by the Road Accident Fund Act 56 of 1996. Nothing on this website stops those periods running. If you think you may have a claim, obtain advice promptly.

5. Accuracy and availability

We take care to keep this website accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is complete, accurate or up to date, nor that the site will be available uninterrupted or free of errors. We may change or withdraw any part of it without notice.

6. Intellectual property

The content of this website, including its text, layout, graphics and the PM Law name and logo, belongs to PM Law Incorporated or is used under licence. You may read and print pages for your own personal use. You may not reproduce, republish or adapt any part of the site for commercial purposes without our written permission.

7. Links to other websites

Where we link to another website, we do so for convenience. We have no control over those sites, do not endorse them, and accept no responsibility for their content or for how they handle your information.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PM Law Incorporated, its directors and employees are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website or from reliance on anything contained in it. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

9. Your personal information

How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Notice, which forms part of these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of this website.

11. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you use the website is the version that applies.
